Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? When clouds gather, the eag
le gets excited. The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, the eagle sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. Once the eagle finds the wind of the storm, the eagle stops flapping and uses the pressure of the raging storm to soar the clouds and glide. This gives the eagle an opportunity to rest its wings. The eagle uses the winds of the storm to rise as it allows the storm to push it up higher. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it. The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm.
In the meantime, all the other birds hide in the leaves and branches of the trees. When the storms of life come upon us – and all of us will experience them – we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. We can use the storms of our lives (obstacles, trouble, etc.) to rise to greater heights. God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm.
The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God’s power to lift us above them. Achievers relish challenges and use them profitably. Remember...even in the midst of the storm...God has the most AMAZING PLAN for YOU!
